And still not smoking…

I Quit Smoking!

One month and four days ago I quit smoking and havn't smoked since. I did manage to take one drag off a friends smoke while intensly intoxicated at a small party in Kansas City but beyond that I've been completely 100% tobaccoo free! I just wanted to dance around and rejoice a little bit about it.

I believe that if I don't want to smoke I don't have to smoke for the rest of my life. I'm over the serious nicotene fits. I occasionaly get jittery and want one but thats usualy only when people are smoking around me a lot. All you smokers out there know what it's like to take that first drag after not smoking for a few hours. It's like a little piece of heaven. And even tho' if I took a drag it'd taste like ass, my mind is still telling me it'd be like a little piece of heaven. I absolutely love the smell but the flavor is something to gag on now. I remember quitting for three weeks and then starting up last time I quit. The first cigarette was super rough but for some reason I thought it felt good. It about made me gag but I choked it down only to want another one. It's not happenin this time.

A little advice for those who still smoke — QUIT!
If your gunna quit here is some help…

1. You have to be 100% convinced you WANT to quit. It's for your own good.
2. Tell a LOT of people you quit. The more people that know you quit the more people will double check that your still not smoking, the more people that will care and coax you to keep going, the more people will hate on you if you relapse. And if your a smoker thats relapsed once you know what I'm talking about. Everyone HATES when you relapse and will definately hate on you for it…
3. If you tell yourself “after this pack” then I realy doubt you'll quit. If you need to quit then put the cigarettes down. It's not going to be any more fun after smoking 6 more cigarettes.
4. If you are going to quit, or already have, get people to quit with you. Then it's a competition you don't wanna lose.
4.a — If you can.. Try and bet someone a weeks paycheck (or two) that you can quit smoking permanently. If you don't smoke for a month they owe you a paycheck. If you ever smoke again you owe them their paycheck back and a paycheck of your own. Thats usualy quite a bit of money. And even if your a minimum wager your weekly paychecks should still be in the $250ish range I think. And if you want someone else to quit. Bet them a paycheck they can't. If you won't bet a paycheck you'll quit smoking then your most likely preparing yourself to start smoking again before you even quit. lamer.
5. The first two days are the roughest. They killed me but just stay strong and keep telling yourself it is 100% worth it.
6. After actualy 'quitting' never let yourself relapse. I continue to think about it. But I always tell myself I didn't put my ass through all that hastle just to start smoking again. It's bad for ya. It costs money you can spend on less damaging and more rewarding things.

Now.. even though I've smoked for 6, 7, 8, 9 .. somethin years… I'm going to say that all the people out there smoking cigarettes are realy stupid for doing so. I can't convince myself there is a single reason to smoke cigarettes. They damage the mind and body, they cost money, ever smelt the nasty smell of stale smoke?, and so much more… Put down those cigarettes for good. Theres no reason to smoke that crap. Period.

One month after quitting and I already feel 100% better then I did as a smoker. I don't cough AT ALL whereas when smoking I haave a chronic cough… I don't smell like smokes, my girlfriend enjoys more tar-free kisses, and I've got more money to waste on other intoxicating drugs!!!! lol.

Time to RELAPSE

Lets see. One pack Cigs… One Bic Lighter.. Flick for man made flame and Ignite…. Ahhh cigarettes are good…. lol
