Non Disclosure Agreement…

July 30th, 2005 by Josh Houghtelin

I signed a nondisclosure agreement today. I've been chatting a little bit with mark Meurer about projects I've been working on & what he has been organizing n' such. I believe we are going to work on some bleeding edge web technology. I've never had to sign a NDA form before since my work has always been personal or open source so I had doubts about it. I signed it anyway.

Bottom line is, I had to sign it. I want in on the projects so i can atleast get a taste of how Mark & his crew work together & what they are accomplishing. A fine line exists tho'. If these guys end up being profiteering gluttons then I'll respect the NDA but probably won't be a part of their team for very long (if at all). On the other hand, if they are outgoing and do what they do becuase they love what they do then this will be a very fun partnership. Don't get me wrong, I like money just as much as the next guy, but I don't research & develop to get rich. I want to help push the bleeding edge web technology so it can get done & we can move onto the next hot item. I want to help where I can help but I'm not realy interested in learning coveted internet 'secrets' without being able to share them with everyone working with that technology. Lets just hope the NDA is to simply cover private orginization details.

We'll see how it goes.
