Jumpers!!!!

I drove over to Butler airport today and saw something I havn't seen before. Sky Divers! There were more people at the airport today then I have ever seen. It was probably only about 20 people but it's a realy small airport. It's realy nice knowing the people that run the airport and feeling comfortable there. It let me get away from the pack of giddy onlookers. I layed down next to a round bale where nobody else was and watched the skydivers without bother.

When skydivers jump out of the plane it looks like someone threw a couple raisins out the window. They cascade down for a while & then out comes their parachute. It's cool watching em bail out of the plane from the ground and it's cool watching em float right over your head but that point between them opening their chute and getting 'right over your head' isn't quite so riveting. It's only like $200 or so to get the training to jump out of a plane so I'm definately signing up for that (When I have the time).

It was cold as heck today at the airport. It even rained a few drops here & there. The real bummer though is that I missed my instructor. I was a bit chilly from being outside & decided to give in to my yawns so I took a quick nap in my car. During my nap Leroy had landed the plane and missed me since my car was amung the fistfull of others there on this abnormaly busy day. Not a big problem though. I like the airport & the people there. I'd hang out there everyday if I had the time.
