500.something miles?

October 27th, 2005 by Josh Houghtelin

I bailed out at 3.am this morning to hit a bunch of Iowa Counties. Seven to be exact. I traveled the entire height and about half the width of this baren wastelend of corn. Unfortunately it's not my first time out here so I recognize most of it. Theres nothing worse then seeing cornfields you remember.

14 Hours after hitting the road this morning I found myself in the first hotel with a “FREE HIGH SPEED INTERNET” sign out front. I'm sold. I don't know what it is about driving (n' work) that completely obliderates my mind but my ability to think just vaporizes by the end of the day when I actualy get to sit down. For that reason I am going to stare mindlessly at the TV and pass out early. Ooooh the joy.

And for any of you Iowa residents that may be from one of the fistful of counties I (we, the company I represent) support, everything is 100% ready to kick ass for this November 8th Election. You guys have until Friday to register to vote for the election. If not for this one, register to vote in the next becuase you'll have E-Vote machines. Only a few counties I know of actualy get to use the new E-Vote machines (DRE - touch screen - handicap accessible - precinct count vote tabulation machines) but from what I understand the rest of you will be hooked up on the first of next year.
