Do any of you guys watch those political debates on TV? Allow me to summerize what I’ve seen. “But you.. We need.. They need. But you. But you. We need.” I’ve been pretending to almost pay attention to some on C-Span right now & all I can do is roll my eyes and wonder why these things even exist? Do they accomplish anything? The only guy not sputtering complete crap out of his mouth is the mediator/reporter. After these guys got done completely ripping on each other to prove that neither are going to be credible in their arguments becuase their evil people plotting to destroy the world with no positive political stance they just yell at each other getting nowhere.
If one guy is talking the other guy is covering his mouth with his hand and rolling his eyes or taking a drink of water rolling his eyes or jostling around uncomfortably. Then he retorts and simply says “your wrong, here is my plan slightly different than yours but if you could understand my plan you’d realize yours is fucked up beyond comprehensible belief” although the other guy is just rolling his eyes, covering his mouth, drinking water, or moving uncomfortably waiting to break into the other guys statement.
To make it all even better they start practicly spitting at each other trying to override what the other is saying WHEN he’s saying it. wtf? You’d think there would be a bit more sophistication involved.
Bottom line - During the hour these guys spit random blubber & saliva at each other do they say anything that actualy gets followed up on? ..
Since this stuff seems to be held in relative high reguard on TV, please, someone explain to me how wrong I am. (I never watch this stuff and am finding the 5 hours of it I’ve heard in the background today completely revolting)
I used to be able to sit through some of that.. and thought it was just as ridiculous as you do. I think all it’s good for is making others aware of the choices that they really don’t have much control over. For us it’s annoying, but a simple political debate could cause somebody else to have a sort of paradigm shift.. no matter how stupid or even opinion-driven it is.
good. bad. who knows. it’s politics.
Good comment. Reminded me of something I forgot to (but wanted to) mention. A whole lot of what these politicians say or promise isn’t something they can directly change. It takes a whole slew of people higher up or lower down on the food chain to make things happen. So it lays another layer of bullshit over what they are saying is GOING to happen as I notice they stand firm on what they believe they CAN AND WILL DO. .. which I belive is just re-iterating what u just said. hehe. thnx Zip =)

Ok, Now you have answered you own issue. It takes people up and down the food chain to make things happen. As any good chain it needs to have all the links in place to function correctly. i.e. checks and balances.
I am not saying that things are correct with our system, or should I say our blow hard politicians. I am saying that I can live with a tv channel that carries this crap that I can turn anytime I wish. I guess I will be thankful I have the right to turn that channel. In stead of some big guy beating me until I vote for someone like Sadam. Just another perspective. Is that a better post!!!! LOL

Coming to an 18-wheeler near you: a broadband mobile office on wheels Posted by Russell Shaw @ 11:57 am
I really try to avoid using the word “cool.” Makes me sound too achingly hip.
But when I read today that Ford Motor is showing a F-250 Super Duty truck equipped with a fully equipped mobile office today at the Specialty Equipment Market Association Show in Las Vegas, I am fighting the temptation not to use the “c” word.
No, this isn’t Windows Automotive 5.0, a Microsoft platform intended mainly for real-time traffic updates.
This application I am talking about is a $3,000 broadband-enabled office on wheels that stays connected to the Internet via broadband wireless cellular card, and let’s the driver work with a printer and even Microsoft Office programs such as Excel and PowerPoint. It will run on Windows XP, and be powered via the truck’s battery.
Associated Press auto writer Dee-Ann Durbin notes that Microsoft director of North American automotive and industrial equipment Patty Dilger envisions one usage scenario as “a contractor who would be able to review measurements in a blueprint, order a door online and pay for it without having to go back and forth to the office.”
Important to note that this system will have a hands-free mode, and be responsive to voice commands.
OK, can’t resist. “Cool.”
Now here is the next question?? Do you really want you personal info on 4 wheels that anyone can take….Just a thought

As long as the politicains stay petty and stupid, the rich will continue making the USA the first third-world stupid power.

Craig - Yes. in 4 wheels would be nice but not as nice as actualy knowing how to do it with your laptop (which is readily available) .. and since I’d do it on a laptop which is easier to steal than a truck (unless it’s my laptop in which someone would die trying to steal).
And to your previous.. Yeah. I did answer my own question. hehe. I’m just looking to be bashed for my hate.
Dad - We are a THE world power. although we only contain 2% of the worlds population. Doesn’t matter how stupid or more to the point Nieve we are. We are still THE world power.

“I dial it in and tune the station
They talk about the U.S. inflation
I understand just a little
No comprende, it’s a riddle”
– Wall of Voodoo, “Mexican Radio”
Gotta remind myself that ’tis merely a puppet government for our evil alien overloads.
