The Task

You saw when I setup a bunch of laptops for the purpose of election result tabulation. Step 2 is now rolling in hot & heavy. I have to ensure these machines get incorperated into the minds & election process of a handful over 70 counties.

I forsee a whole crapload of travel. I personaly install & support most of Missouri’s election equipment. It’s needless to say at this point but if you have never seen or punched out a chad from the punch card voting systems, you never will. Punch cards are gone forever now. It is all optical scan where you fill in ovals like a multiple guess test in school or DRE (Direct Recording Electronic) voting machine that in some way or another allows visualy & physicly handicapped voters to vote. I’d say this is all going to blow over in two years and everyone will be back in the same rinse & repeat fashion elections normaly retain.

I won’t be posting very often until atleast Missouri is setup & trained. I will however try to remember to take a picture of every one of the 62 Missouri county courthouses I will be visiting over the next two weeks.
