Voice Mail - Answering Attendant Software
IVM Phone Answering Attendant Software
IVM is a cool little application that can help route calls and act as a smart voice mail server.
IVM is a telephone answering machine, voice mail, call attendant, and interactive voice response (IVR) program for Windows. It connects to the phone using a standard voice modem, professional telephony board or even directly to a VoIP service.
With touch screen voting equipment we need to verify the correct pronunciation of the candidates running for each race. Creating an intricate voice mail system to effectively accommodate hundreds of counties worth of name verification could be a difficult task. We are currently testing this software with a single line of connectivity in order to connect each county to their respective voice mail box so they can report candidate names. This allows us recorded audio verification of every candidates name for correct pronunciation on the audio ballot. Preliminary testing with this software returned strong positive results. This software can automatically email voice mails, transfer them to network drives and even upload them directly to FTP.
This is definitely pretty cool. If I had voip (or any phone for that matter) at home I would most definitely use this software. It is easy to use and you can easily build a very intricate voice attendant system using the built in tools like call forwarding, transfers, data entry, passwords, etc, etc, etc. This is definitely a simple yet juiced up voice mail box system.
