Hamachi

Remember when I mentioned Waste? It’s a handy encrypted file sharing system, just not quite user friendly. Check out Hamachi.

Hamachi is significantly easier to use and actualy creates instant configurationless vpn connections. Now that’s just handy…

If you uncheck ‘printer and file sharing’ on your network connection properties and only leave it checked in the hamachi network interface I believe it creates a nice, simple way to use windows filesharing. Even @ home I started setting up hamachi on the machines as to kindof permenently attach myself to the whole network. I’m not quite sure why I’m so excited about using this but since Blayne mentioned it I have been quite intrigued w/it.

I guess I have yet to find a realy good way to keep me connected to all my machines & networks. This is definately a step in the right direction though. I like the idea that I’m directly connected to all the machines I need to be at any given time in a relatively secure manner.

Hell yeah. Waste was quite clunky. I’m loving the instant VPN style shit goin on.
