Gathering Fireworks - Round one

Josh Houghtelin Fun

It’s getting to be that time of the year again when we all (read: Americans) get to celebrate our freedom. Standard procedure seems to include but is not limited to gathering together with all of your best friends and family, drinking absolutely ridiculous amounts of beer & trying not to damage anyone too bad with excessive amounts of explosive devices. Zippy & I intend on driving to Minnesota in order to hang out with our family & friends for the occasion. Unfortunately Minnesota has yet to ‘get it’ so they don’t allow the purchase of fireworks that propel themselves or explode. This is where I come in since I’m posted conveniently here in Missouri with a 12 hour drive through yet another state that allows the sale of explosives (Iowa).

Anyway, here is a picture of the goods from the first round of fireworks gathering. I will buy some now, buy some more later when the tents go up, and then make the last major purchase at the new fireworks place going up on I35 on my way up. My only concern is being able to fit them all in the car.

Fire works run number one.

So far here are the quantities:
864 Black Cat Bottle rockets.
48 Parachute Rockets. (The bigger ones)
32 Roman Candles
8 Gatling roman candles
24 Morter Shells with 4 bases to shoot them from.
100+ assorted rockets from the ‘Rocket Pack’
13 punks. We need to save our lighters for more productive things ^_^

If you are of the few that I will be trying to not blow up on the 4th of July you can expect I will bring two to three times as much as I have listed here. Bring your lighters!
