Tickerfactory ripoff.
I did it. I made the ticker script.
As I said in an earlier post I thought it’d be cool to have a Ticker Factory like script that made those banners that count down for you. I totaly jacked a handfull of their banners and sliders. I’m having Zippy make me a set of sliders and banners so I don’t get hated on for stealing their stuff. This one only counts in days unlike Ticker Factory that counts in months and days. I could rape the date() function to make it a little cooler but I’m satisfied with the way it is. Now I just need to pretty up the script itself. What do you guys think? (Sue, I saw those tickers on your blog and blingo-blango.. I made the script. Thanks!)
Side note: If you guys want the source to any of my lameness just let me know in a comment and I’ll hook ya up. PHP Rocks.
Or.. just download it here. Enough people have requested it.

Hi there, I love this ripp-off !
Is it possible for you to alter the script so I can use it as a weight-loss script with a start - enddate ?
Regards,
Marco

Hi, I would love to make a ticker myself and was hoping to use your format to create one… however the file you gave a link to is one that my computer refuses to open. Is there some other way you could send it to me? Credit will be given, of course.

I am getting errors after installation. Can you help me out?

Thanks for this Josh I’ve been scouring the net looking for something like this to pull apart and fiddle with. Great job.
One question…Would this work copying and pasting the code into an email to sit at the bottom in a signature?

Hi,
Love the way this works and am trying to get it installed on my website to have a fun little page to create my own tickers on, but am having trouble installing it. I’ve set up my database and table and everything and changed the config file but I get a Internal Server Error when trying to run it, any suggestions? I’m trying to install it in its own directory on my website, www.tinksnook.com/tickers. Will that not work? Any help would be appeciated and thanks for this

Very cool but I get a 500 server error when I try to run the script. Any idea what could be wrong? Uploaded in ascii and chmodded to 755

I think some of your math is off. When i user larger sliders (Even on your copy), it appears to leave block of white space. Try using the mouse slider. When I use the big turtle slider it cuts off it’s head. I’ll poke around and see if i can fix it.

Just to follow-up on my claim. It appears you made a transposition error in index.php on line 63. $sliderwidth should come before $sliderheight when calling imagecopy(). If you have any questions email me.

Hi Josh, Thanks so much for sharing this script. I have not installed it as of yet to test on my server, but I was wondering if it’s possible to allow animated banners and sliders or is the script only allowed to use PNG’s? Also, how can we have a seperate page for the sliders? Like show the banners and then click a next button for the sliders? Thanks so much.

Is there any way you can extend the dates so it will still work?
Thanks
