Burn My Time

~Josh Houghtelin

My bike is returned.

Josh Houghtelin Life, Cycling

It’s official. My bike has been found. Thanks to an anonymous tipper and Missouri Highway Patrol Troop A they found both my bike and my buddies in a small shed in Cole Camp along with some other stolen stuff. Unfortunately no people have been tied to the crime. I’m very glad I got my bike back. Extremely happy I have it but I am very agitated about the damage. It should be less than $1,000 in damages with some good Ebay hawking. All in all though it’s not as bad as it could have been. I could have not gotten it back. It could have been wrapped around a tree. I could have found my fairings on ebay or something stupid like that. Ahh well, what comes around goes around.

Here are some crappy cell phone pics until I can get some better ones.

The whole ignition smashed out.
I guess you have to break out the ignition to get started…

Ignition Switch
Here is the new ignition switch. Just flip it on and press the ignition on the handle bar.

Broken gas cap.
They somehow cracked open my keyed gas cover. I’m dumb and always leave the gas tank pretty low becuase it helps for better tricks. They didn’t bust out Stubby’s keyed gas tank cover.

They even busted out the lock for my rear seat. I have no idea why. Nobody keeps anything back there. Assholes.

Right / Front fairing got skrewed.
They skrewed my paint. The bike had to have been slid on the bed of a truck or something. It’s got some nasty maroon all over it.

Liscence plate busted
Why? I guess if I didn’t buy something I could tear it apart. Looking at my bike makes me sad but I’m glad to have it back.

Let me say that again.

I’m very glad to have my bike back!
