My dad rolled through!

My dad is back behind the wheel of a big rig again and as luck would have it he ended up pulling into a terminal in Kansas City Friday night to have his truck worked on. We got to spend all day Saturday hanging out. It’s been quite a long time (years) since we have been able to hang out one on one like that.

We went to the Steamboat Arabia museum. We even got to meet one of the individuals involved in recovering the old steamboat. I had no idea there were so many wrecked, lost, and undiscovered steamboats across the Missouri river. I will definitely be back to visit that museum again since they claim to have 15 years of work ahead of them cleaning and preparing artifacts for display. They claim to have dug up over 200 tons of 1856 general store cargo from the boat. Definitely an interesting museum.

Unfortunately I forgot to bring my camera along with me. Bummer. Ahh well, Zippy will be back from Myrtle Beach today! w00t.
