I got stuck.
This is why I’m not supposed to drive a 2 wheel drive pickup (older F150) down a hard to see trail after fishing long past dark.

Roy & Bob tried to help in Bob’s F150.

I couldn’t pluck em out with the Explorer. (nor could I get the pickup I initially got stuck w/the explorer)

So we called this guy in with his F250.

He got stuck too. Attempting to help get him out with the explorer was out of the question.

This clay stuff is insanely easy to just sink straight into and slide around on. It’s hard to grab anything at all. After getting that huge truck stuck it got too dark for pictures but we managed getting even more trucks stuck and then unstuck. The pickup that caused this domino effect of stuck trucks however remains the only one was not pulled.

Funny in retrospect but that shit sucks when it happens!

Wern’t you the one that said, “follow this trail, you can kindof see it. It goes around the other side of the bridge. Oh, that’s not much mud, you’ll get throug hit with inertia alone!” ?
* points a finger at Garf like the Evil Monkey in the closet *
The conservation guy even acknowledged there was a trail there but “that was people going where they shouldn’t have”. heh. Oh well, at this point my citation is paying for the new trail that is CLEARLY there now. lol.

[…] My buddy Garf just linked me to the google video he posted. Here is the link to the video. This is some footage of us when we were trying to get the pickup unstuck. I posted about it here and here. This was our initial attempt at getting it out ourself before we called in everyone we knew so they could get stuck. I eventually found a wrecking crew that went down and winched it out successfully. […]
