Laptop downsizing.
I’ve been using the larger Acer 3000/5000 series laptops for quite a while. The form factor also includes the TravelMate 2450 I was last using. I decided I’d try out the Acer TravelMate 2420 which is a bit smaller form factor. While searching for images of the Acer TravelMate 2420 I ran across a post by Mathieu Allard displaying his 2420 with an Ubuntu sticker on it. How appropriate. I have yet to get pulled back in to windows so I’m still running Ubuntu Dapper Drake. Short of the sticker on it, we sport identical laptops.
I love Ubuntu. It’s so simple to use I’ve been rolling it out on desktops at work when I can and has all the software I, or anyone at our office, could want. The fact that it is free has a strong role as well.
