Two weeks of destruction.

Wow, Zippy and I have had a rough couple of weeks. I’ve been driving all over Missouri setting up Counties for the Presidential Primary election which has kept me all sorts of busy. Within the last two weeks it seems everything has either tried to fall a part or has suceeded in falling a part.
- I hit an armadillo which damaged the front right of my car. It busted my right blinker out, tore the bumper half off and jarred the crap out of me. I did manage getting it all fixed after limping along another 400 miles to get home.
- The water pipes froze in our house (multiple times) which busted 3 separate pipes I had to replace. It only took four or five trips to the hardware store to get that resolved.
- The water cistern somehow froze under ground which caused our water pump to burn out. Zippy had Rick Rusche replace the pump since I was out.
- My cell phone got caught in a car door so I’m waving good bye to my blackberry and switching to my MDA. I really really enjoyed the blackberry and may get another one. That, or I will subscribe to EVDO with the MDA, I’m not sure yet.
- The stove pipe connected to our wood stove managed to work it’s way off which filled the house with smoke and melted the ceiling panels a bit. I tapped some extra screws and braces into everything to ensure that won’t happen again
- We failed to secure a trailer to pickup hay for the horses so we had to have it delivered which resulted in the truck delivering the hay getting stuck in the driveway. Fortunately the neighbor was out running his bobcat so he helped out there.
- Our driveway finally soaked up all the gravel I initially put down so we have been unable to use it for quite some time. The ruts and mud was getting worse then I ever remember it being in the first place. I did however manage making arrangements to have another 16 tons of large rock delivered and spread about so we can use it again now.
It seems that shit loves to hit the fan during election time. Oh well, all is good now minus the cold temperature. Life is quite the roller coaster at times. I took a picture of my car on jacks half way through putting things back together.
