I have an old KVM-K102 (PRO-0230) KVM switch at my office and forgot what the Hot key was. I searched around for KVM-K102 for a while and didn’t come up with anything so this post should fix that little problem if anyone has it in the future.
The Hot key for the 2 port KVM switch KVM-K102 PRO-0230 is Scroll Lock. Tap it twice to switch from one computer to another.
After much searching I found that the scroll lock key is commonly used as the hot key for KVM switches. If I had been a bit more generic with my search for the information I would have come across it quicker.
I might note that I also have an IOGEAR MiniView SE KVM Switch (Model: GCS84A). I really like it. It’s a nice 4 port KVM with a simple hot key. I can hit the CTRL key twice to switch to the next System which I really like. I also occasionaly find the ‘auto scan’ feature quite usefull where the KVM slowly switches between all the different machines untill you stop it with the space bar. It’s much easier to find information on this KVM. Here’s the website.

Yeah… most use scroll lock, or scroll lock twice fast, and maybe arrows. I have one at home with a key combination that’s so inconvenient that it’s pretty much useless: shift+ctrl+alt, release, number key for channel, release, enter. I’d like to know who decided that was a good idea. I use the “next” button on the front. At work, on our 8-port units, we press print screen once and a menu appears - then it’s arrow keys and enter.

That sounds quite convenient. This 4 port here at my office does use that shift+cntrl+alt then number then enter to jump to a specific port. That is probably the biggest down fall. Good thing the box/switch itself is within arms length.
